It also is beneficial in erosion control as it has an extensive root system.

Indian Guava can be eaten fresh and has a sweet and tangy flavour. Perfect for smoothies and added to juice. Can add to salads or desserts. High in vitamin C and rich in fibre and contains Vitamin A.

Growing Conditions
Guava prefers well-draining, fertile soils. Sandy loam or clay loam is ideal. Good drainage is preferred, add organic matter to clay soils. Guava can be trimmed for both shape and to provide good airflow through the plant.
Full sun preferred, but can handle little shade.
