Cherry Guavas

  • Landscaping

Cherry guava is an excellent addition to any landscape, offering both visual appeal and delicious fruit. To create an inviting outdoor space, consider planting cherry guava in a mixed border with other fruiting plants, herbs, and native Australian species to enhance biodiversity.

Cherry Guavas are a versatile landscaping plant that can easily be grown in a large container or used as an ornamental hedge.

  • Culinary & Nutrition

Cherry Guavas are exceptionally rich in Vitamin C and are a good source of niacin, potassium and dietary fibre. They are best eaten fresh but can also be used for jellies, ice cream, sauces, cakes, tarts, drinks and chutney.

  • Growing Conditions

Cherry Guavas prefer full sun but can be grown with some shade. Grow in poor soils with the Red Guava tolerant of drought conditions and the Yellow Guava tolerant of short periods of flooding. Guavas are also cold-tolerant and tolerate salt winds.
