Blueberry Biloxi

Vaccinium corymbosum 'Biloxi'
Pink tinged cream white flowers appear in late winter and are followed by light blue, medium sized, firm berries with a distinct and excellent flavour. Suitable for warmer temperature regions.

Habit - Southern Highbush. Vigorous bushy upright spreading habit. Requires no or low chill so ideal for coastal areas.

Size - 1.6 x 1.2m

Pollination - Cross pollinate with another Southern Highbush variety - Misty or Sunshine Blue will increase yield.

Harvest - Ripening mid-season. Harvest when the fruit turns blue. Try to leave for 5 to 7 days on the plant to enhance the flavour. Larger berries when cross pollinated.

Blueberry Blue Rose

Vaccinium corymbosum 'Blue Rose'
Pink tinged cream white flowers appear in spring and are followed by large blue berries. This blueberry will keep its form and flavour even after it has been frozen and thawed. Suitable for cooler climate regions.

Habit - Northern Highbush. Tall vigorous bush. Beautiful red autumn foliage.

Size - 2 x 1.5m

Pollination - Cross pollinate with another Northern Highbush variety - Northland Blue or Legacy will increase yield.

Harvest - Ripening late-season. Harvest when the fruit turns blue. Try to leave for 5 to 7 days on the plant to enhance the flavour. Do not pick unripe as they will be very acidic and bitter. Skins melt after simmering and produce a self-thickening sauce, delicious over ice cream.

Early season Rabbiteye variety. Medium size and medium dark blue berries with a good flavour.

Habit - Open and upright growth habit. Deciduous. Well adapted to hot humid summers mild winters.

Pink tinged cream white flowers appear in late winter and are followed by heavy crops of dark blue, medium sized berries. Berries are sweet and juicy. Blue-green foliage that turns red and purple in autumn

Habit - Southern Highbush. Semi-dwarf with a dense habit and requires very little pruning. Requires no or low chill so ideal for temperate and subtropical climates. Heat tolerate.

Size - 1.2 x 1.2m

Pollination - Cross pollinate with another Southern Highbush variety - Misty or Biloxi will increase yield and size of berries.
